| The client requested a Power Quality Analysis of his system due to numerous brownout complaints from their residential and business cutomers. Examination of a full month of collected data revealed a recurring problem as shown above. Event 1 depects a current spike (750 amps RMS) and voltage sag (750 volts RMS) when a rock crusher was overloaded and the motor tripped offline. The 2nd current spike two seconds later was the motor restarting. The client was able to work with the company to reduce the overloading of their process. |
