This problem was found during a routine Thermal inspection of a client's equipment. The bolts holding the plates together were only finger-tight. Had this continued undiscovered the connection would have eventually failed catastrophically. Serious equipment damage, and possible injury to anyone nearby, were prevented by the ability to detect these and many other types of faults using our Thermal imaging system. The outline of the bolt head can be clearly seen in the image along with the individual wraps of insulating tape. |
